Need a Ride?
Our Wheels Program can help you. The Wheels transportation service consists of two parts:
Have an appointment and no way to get there?
Wheels volunteer drivers are ready to pick you up and take you. Call 518-752-8737, leave your name and number & we will call you to schedule a ride.
This program is supported by donations and volunteers are able to bill Medicaid for some transportation services.
Wish you could get out more but would rather not drive?
Enjoy local trips, going to malls and museums, and regional social events. Hop on board! Our minivan is regularly scheduled to go on such trips and is also available for use by area senior groups for their outings. Call 518-752-8737, leave your name and number & we will call you to work out the trip details.
These programs accept and encourage donations for services, but you are encouraged to use the service even if you cannot contribute.
Weekly Meal Site
Looking to make a new friend or reconnect with old ones?
Have a joke or story to tell? The Weekly Meal Site, sometimes referred to as The Reed St. Café is the place to be!
Come have lunch and stay for the entertainment. Seniors meet at 11:30AM on Thursdays, downstairs (there is an elevator) at the United Presbyterian Church at 161 Reed St, Northville
The meal is provided by Fulton County Office for Aging and a $3.00 donation is suggested.
To order a lunch, phone OFA at 736-5650 by Wednesday afternoon.
After eating, STFSL often provides a program. The entertainment begins around 12:30 and it's always something different. One week, you might listen to an area musician, ventriloquist, or storyteller; another time it might be a program on local history, gardening, and collectibles, health or food preparation, or legal services that are available.
There is also information on upcoming events and services provided by area agencies. Your input on future events is requested.
Consider joining us on Thursdays for a meal and/or a program; friends, fun and information! Friends begin gathering at 11:30, lunch is served at 12:00 and the program begins at 12:30. We hope to see you there!
